Mark is an influential music educator who is the founder and artistic director of the Milwaukee Jazz Institute. Mark is available for in-person lessons, online lessons, improvisation workshops, and lecture demonstrations in jazz history. He is also on the music faculty of Alverno College. Many of Mark’s former students have gone on to successful careers in music, most notably Dan Nimmer, pianist with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Mark authored the Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Method Book 1, released in September 2015, and the Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Method Book 2, released in June 2019. Over 28,000 copies of the method books have sold worldwide.
